Incend Media is aware of fraudulent emails impersonating our company and Chief Executive Partner, George Lamelza. These messages falsely claim that urgent website updates, domain renewals, application setup, or technical corrections are required to prevent service interruptions.
Known Fraudulent Email Address
This email address is not owned, operated, or authorized by Incend Media. Incend Media does not use Gmail addresses for business communications.
The sender may create additional email addresses. Always verify the complete sending address, not merely the sender’s displayed name, photograph, or email signature.
How the Scam Works
The initial email claims that a website requires urgent attention before a specific deadline. It asks the recipient to reply, “Yes, please proceed.”
After the recipient responds, the impersonator requests $450 for “premium tools and services” supposedly needed to complete the work.
These requests are fraudulent.
How to Verify Incend Media Communications
- Public corporate communications come from an @incendmedia.com email address.
- Existing clients may also receive messages from a private Incend address already provided directly to them.
- Official billing messages may be sent from support@incendmedia.com through our billing system.
- Incend Media does not use Gmail addresses for business communications.
- Our team does not use personal photographs or social media links in email signatures.
- Incend Media never requests online payment through personal accounts, unfamiliar payment services, or outside vendors.

What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Message
- Do not reply.
- Do not click links or open attachments.
- Do not send payment.
- Report the message as phishing through your email provider.
- Forward the message to support@incendmedia.com so our team can verify it.
If you have already sent money or provided financial information, contact your bank immediately and notify Incend Media.
Was Incend Media Compromised?
At this time, we have no evidence that Incend Media’s email, billing, or client systems were compromised. The fraudulent message we examined originated from an unrelated Gmail account and was sent to a publicly listed website email address.
We are reporting the fraudulent account and related materials to the appropriate service providers.
When in doubt, do not pay. Contact Incend Media directly and allow us to verify the request.
